If you are one of those facebook users who has uploaded lots of images to your facebook profile without creating proper albums and wondering how to rearrange your photos at later point, then here is a quick tip for you. Facebook does allow users to move photos from one album to another, But the process is a bit more involved than you’d think.
Let’s see the steps involved in this process :
- First, head to your Facebook timeline, then click the Photos box just beneath your profile “cover” photo.
- Next, open the album that contains the photo you’d like to move, then click the “Edit Album” link near the top of the album page.
- Move your mouse over the thumbnail of the snapshot you want to move. As you do, you’ll see a pair of buttons appear at the top of the image: one that reads “Click a face to tag,” and another with a small downward-pointing arrow. Click the arrow, then select “Move to other album.”
- A new pop-up window titles “Move photo to another album?” will appear; select the album where you’d like to move the photo, then click the “Move Photo” button. All done!
If you are looking to move a photo to a brand-new album, Unfortunately, there’s no “Create a new album” option from the “Move photo to another album” window, so you’ll have to create a new album first. At the same time, remember you can’t create a new album without uploading a new photo from your desktop. Ugh. So in this case, you need to create a new album and upload some image at first. Later you can delete that image and transfer the images you want from other albums 🙂
Also, keep in mind that you can only move photos that you uploaded yourself, not snapshots by Facebook friends in which you’ve been tagged.
